Techdata: Nikon Coolpix 5000 with Nikkor FC-E8 fisheye converter in W1 position, 1/440s at f/6.3, aperture-priority with center-weighted metering, auto white balance, ISO 100. The camera was a couple inches from the ground (thanks to the tilting LCD display), but its shadow projected heavily on the sand. Therefore it was necessary to take another shot with the Coolpix set obliquely to get an area of sand without shadow, and paste it on the best photo. Some slight sharpening was added. This image proves that pure nature subjects may give beautiful photos with the fisheye.

L'appareil n'était qu'à quelques centimètres du sol (grâce à son visualiseur orientable), mais son ombre se projetait fâcheusement sur le sable. Aussi s'avéra-t-il nécessaire de prendre un autre cliché avec le Coolpix orienté de travers afin d'obtenir une zone de sable sans ombre, et de coller celle-ci sur la meilleure photo. Une légère accentuation fut pratiquée. Cette image prouve que des sujets purement naturels peuvent donner de belles images au fish-eye.
